THE WALKER project

Project Type : Partial Home Renovation
Location: Moore Park
Scope: Main Floor + Basement Underpinning
As part of a full-house renovation in Rosedale, Greening Homes worked alongside Sam Sacks Design to transform this home with a combination of refined finishes, contemporary detailing and a healthier, more energy-efficient approach to construction.
The basement is one of the project’s most distinctive spaces. Rather than concealing the structure beneath conventional finishes, the design embraces an exposed concrete aesthetic, giving the lower level a raw architectural character that contrasts with the more polished finishes found throughout the home.
Behind the finished spaces, Greening Homes applied the same principles of responsible renovation across the larger project. Material selection, energy and resource efficiency, indoor air quality and construction waste managementwere considered throughout the building process, ensuring that performance and occupant health remained part of the renovation alongside its architectural and interior design objectives.
The result is a basement that feels deliberately integrated into a sophisticated whole-home renovation—combining high-end design with the practical and environmental considerations happening behind the finishes.
