Greening Homes named finalist in three 2020 BILD Awards
Greening Homes is thrilled to be a finalist in the following three categories for the 2020 BILD Renovation and Custom Home Awards!
Best reno (no addition), $250K-$500K (Willingdon project)
Best Kitchen under $100K (Willingdon project)
Best Washroom (Crescent Road project)
Designed by Greening Homes’ in-house design team, these finalists were part of full-gut renovations.
For the Willington project, located in the Kingsway neighbourhood, we opened up the main floor to create an inviting space. The once boxed-in galley kitchen now features a stunning island for the family to gather. We also added a small powder room where the original dinette existed, and gutted and renovated the entire upstairs, including an impressive bathroom transformation! Our master ensuite bathroom at our Crescent Road project in Rosedale is the finalist for Best Washroom. We extended the house by two feet to increase the room’s size. The gorgeous vanity from Italy features Monolight glass cover and glass face drawers. We also installed privacy glass windows with auto tint that controls the amount of daylight and UV in the space. Created by the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) in 1999, the awards program recognizes professional renovation general contractors for professionalism, quality of work and industry leadership. Nominees are evaluated by a team of industry professionals. BILD is the voice of the home building, residential and non-residential land development and professional renovation industries in the Greater Toronto Area.
This year the finalists will be announced through a social media campaign leading to a virtual awards ceremony in June. In the past the finalists for the BILD Renovation & Custom Home Awards would have been announced at the GTA Home & Reno Show in March. Unfortunately because of COVID-19 the Home Show was cancelled.
In 2016, Greening Homes received two BILD Renovation & Custom Home Awards, one for Best Green Renovation and the other for the category: Best Renovation $300,000 to $500,000. The awarded project was a modern open concept renovation of a 100-year-old Victorian Semi-detached home in Summerhill.
