The Kingsway Addition

Scope

Our clients wanted to improve the flow and function of their kitchen and bonus room at the back of their home. They also wanted to add a powder room to their main floor. The adjoining wall was pulled back to connect the kitchen with the room at the rear of the home, creating a more open and light-filled space.

• 40% SCM concrete to reduce waste
• Roxul batt, rigid foam and spray foam  insulation
• No-VOC primer and paint
• 98% recycled content, EcoLogo certified drywall
• FSC certified Maibec wood siding
• Fibreglass door and windows with low E, argon-filled double glazing

Efficiency

• LED potlights
• R45 in walls with poly-isocyanurate foam board and Roxul batt insulation
• WaterSense certified low-flow toilet
• 13% decrease in gas consumed for heating
